Starting your day with a consistent skincare routine sets the tone for healthy, glowing skin. After years of trial and error, I’ve finally found a morning routine that works beautifully for my combination skin.

Step 1: Gentle Cleanser
I start with a gentle, hydrating cleanser. My current favourite is the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser — it’s affordable, fragrance-free, and doesn’t strip my skin.
Step 2: Vitamin C Serum
This is the powerhouse of my routine. Vitamin C brightens, protects against environmental damage, and helps with hyperpigmentation. I apply 3-4 drops and pat it gently into my skin.
Top Pick: The Ordinary Vitamin C Suspension 23% + HA Spheres 2% — affordable and effective!

Step 3: Moisturizer
Even oily skin needs moisture! I use a lightweight gel moisturizer that hydrates without feeling greasy. Let it absorb for a minute before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Sunscreen (Non-Negotiable!)
If you only do one thing from this list, make it sunscreen. Every. Single. Day. Rain or shine, indoor or outdoor — SPF is your skin’s best friend.
I’m currently loving the Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun — it’s lightweight, leaves no white cast, and works beautifully under makeup.
Quick Tips
- Wait 1-2 minutes between applying products
- Don’t forget your neck and ears when applying sunscreen
- Patch test new products before full application
- Consistency is key — results take time!
Do you have a morning skincare routine? I’d love to hear what products are working for you!
